this is the story of you
I've failed to write a million times
because without your eyes
the stars wont align
so this is a story of me
written in mundane syllables
for all the world to see that I do
adore you.
If a song could explain it, I'd sing it
or a picture reveal it, I'd paint it for you
but no object is as lovely as you
Oh my muse; dearest friend
sing of the dawn
of the spring and winter and fall
tell me a story of love
say you're flying, or falling or walking through
darkened paved ally ways
now i sing of your god-like mortality
your all knowing voice
ad always present words
of smiles that shine as the sun
and of soft touched
or warm conecting breath on my skin.
Shall i speak of the dark or the dawn?
are you angelic or devilish
or both? and do you write out
your poems on clouds?
sputtered madness
insecure silence
black eyed, cool smiled,
Philip.
