I long to crack an egg
like the chefs do on tv
a straight line through the center
perfectly match on either side

seperate the yolks in the shells
white from yellow--
segregate.

I'd love to open them for hours
bewildered by the insides
crack against glass--
for a hollow sound

white and clear and yellow
these colors are plenty.
