green
I hide behind
glowing warm blanket
cheeks blazing heat
warm warm face
and cold cold toes
i wonder about
daydreaming.
his coffee smelled like
throw-up
he himself smelled of alcohol
cheep aftershave
perhaps.
so
news
i forget with in 3 minutes of you telling me
and stop your high piched screaming
asked rochelle
no more.
to a party
to a cake
to a hug and kiss from sister
to a baby
to a diet rite
home to my father
ironing
and complaining
go figure
hair in foreign fingers
you shove a bike in the back of
a red mini van
and yet she insists.
this wont work
so again she'll ride home
thinking about the
day
and her future
i can only imagine
then home to my bedroom
to a thankyou note and to
a poem
waiting on my tongue all along
only now
do i swallow.
the moon the stars
and yellow glows mars
under green
glow
woven warm
blanket
I hide.
