I changed the light bulb on our back porch
then asked them to move it inside.
we've spent much time
cementing ideas to the clouds
forget that with their weight they
But what do I care?
The sky will fall
and the stars still light up at night.
The mosquitoes still bite--
left red welts on my peach plump skin.
If life is a pop song,
I'm missing a verse--
If love's a performance
I'd better rehearse.
It's my time to step forward
time to say my lines.
I think it's about that time.
